Frank Sinatra

Francis Albert Sinatra (født 12. desember 1915 i Hoboken, New Jersey, USA, død 14. mai 1998) var en amerikansk sanger og skuespiller som blir oppfattet som av én av de aller best vokalister på sin tid, spesielt anerkjent for sin perfekte frasering og timing. Mange kritikere plasserer ham på siden av Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, og The Beatles som de viktigste navnene innenfor populærmusikk på midten av 1900-tallet.

I en alder av 37 år startet Sintra sin andre karriere som filmskuespiller, og ble anerkjent som en filmpersonlighet betydelig tøffere enn hans behagelige sangstil. Sinatra hadde også en større-enn-livet framtreden i øynene på sitt publikum, særlig det amerikanske, og som «The Chairman of the Board» ble han et amerikansk ikon, kjent for sin arrogante, noen ganger selvgode framtreden, tydeliggjort i hans signatursang «My Way».
